Low Speed Collisions Do Cause Injuries
When a vehicle shows no damage, it DOES NOT mean there have been no injuries
Why Injuries Occur in Low Speed Collisions
by John Smith PE, MSBMT, MSEE
Vehicles in accidents often do not show damage under casual observation.
Foam bumper core showed no external visible damage.
The damage did not show up until the bumper was removed
Careful and experienced inspection of the vehicle is often required along with removal of external panels and bumpers.
Crash resistant bumpers protect cars, they do NOT protect passengers and they can often make injuries worse.
